A little about me

A resident of Lakeway since 2007, Shannon is a born-and-bred Austinite. After earning her BBA in Marketing from Texas State University, San Marcos, Shannon worked as a marketing director for a local family business. Eager to learn and do more, she returned to Texas State to earn a master’s degree in elementary education. Upon graduating, Shannon spent five years working in the Lake Travis ISD, teaching both third and fifth grade classes. “I learned a lot about communication as a teacher—it’s essential to communicate regularly and effectively with parents,” commented Shannon. “It definitely prepared me to connect well with clients!”

In 2010 after the birth of her daughter, Shannon left the classroom and concentrated on raising her family, which added a son two years later. But after buying and selling a few residential properties in Lakeway, Shannon got the real estate bug, and joined a local agency as an admin. In 2019, she received her realtor’s license.

“My mom was a business owner yet was always able to balance work and family,” Shannon recalls. “I love the chance to do the same thing and be an inspiration to my daughter. Anne-Marie is a mom and she is also a strong businesswoman. It’s wonderful to work with her.”

Shannon has a 9-year-old daughter and 7-year-old son. They love to fly in their “little family plane with the best pilot I know,” husband Chris. She serves her Lakeway neighborhood as a POA Board member and social chair and enjoys working out and sailing.
