It’s Almost Fall Ya’ll!

Springtime in Austin may be glorious but there’s something truly magical about autumn.

It’s still warm, sure, but the cooler temperatures are here and dropping. The kids are going back to school—how on earth did they get so big? And the holidays are right around the corner, lined up like airplanes on the tarmac at Austin-Bergstrom. It’s a glorious time of year—one for creating new memories and for celebrating time-honored traditions.

But let’s get real. We are in Texas, ya’ll.

For all the wonderful events and activities that are the hallmark of September and October, one of the true joys of the season is football! And Austin has some of the best places to watch your favorite teams. If your idea of watching football includes great food, lots of screens, and the chance to sneak in some great people watching, you just can’t go wrong with Austin. Downtown, North Austin, Eastside, Southside…there’s something for every fan, for every professional team. And for diehard Longhorns fans? Scholz Garten is the ultimate for German beers and UT football.

Maybe you’d rather stay home and catch the plays on your big screen TV with friends. There’s no better time to indulge in the great Texas love for all things beef. Check out all the amazing and easy recipes for a DIY football party at home.

Another one of the true joys of the season is pumpkin patches and Fall festivals.  Check out information on the Best Austin pumpkin patches that any adult or kid will surely fall in love with.  You will find details on all our favorites, like Sweet Berry Farm, plus some new to you just a short drive away.  For those adults who love this time of year for Oktoberfest, Boo at the Zoo, and Formula 1, we have a list of all the annual events Austin has to offer during the October and November months.

And lastly candy, tricks, and treats…Halloween!  This year check out this helpful article on Halloween Safety tips for adults, pets, kids, and more (so no one ends up in the graveyard 😉).
