Spring is perennially popular in the Texas Hill Country. Whether you already live here or you’re on your way, this time of year is a showcase for our region’s beauty. And with virtually limitless activities, both indoor and outdoor, it’s a glorious season!
The spring 2024 eclipse adds one more exciting reason to be in the Austin area. If you’re keen to stay in the dark for the full four minutes, you’ll need to head slightly outside the city, to Marble Falls, Fredericksburg, Llano, or Burnet. But there are plenty of venues in Austin where you can experience the complete dark for roughly two minutes.
Beyond the excitement over the path of totality, people remain positive about our city. In 2024, we already have more than 2% migration growth over 2023. And in contrast to what some national media are reporting, the housing market in Austin has continued to prosper. As Business Insider notes, inventory is up across the metro area, with housing prices slowly increasing.
The business sector is also thriving. It’s not only large corporations moving to or expanding in the area; retailers such as Warby Parker and Dutch Bros. are opening new locations, as well. South Austin is seeing an influx of new retailers while the Domain in North Austin continues to add stores and restaurants. The heartbeat of the city beats strongly!
The sun may disappear for a few minutes, but the bright light of Austin keeps shining. We’d love to be a part of your spring in the Texas Hill Country. Let the Intelligent Real Estate team illuminate your path to home ownership in our beautiful city.
